StarWarp is an online real time sci-fi strategy game where teams of players control a range of space-craft from scouts to battle-stations with the aim of conquering enemy planets, galaxies, the UNIVERSE!

The game is played from an overhead perspective. As a player you may control one space craft at anyone time. That DOESN'T mean you are stuck with that ship for the entire game, each time you are killed in combat you may select the type of ship that suits your current situation. Or if you're just too good to get killed you may return to the home planet and request a new ship.

The onboard weapon systems can include photon torpedoes, missiles, lasers and other wonderful and equally destructive goodies. You also control the flight speed, direction, warp-drive and your ships defensive capabilities such as shields and counter weapon devices. Generally the bigger the ship the more destructive, but the tradeoff is usually speed and maneuverability.

The game is won by taking control of enemy planets. To do this you must first bomb the planet from orbit destroying its defensive army and structures. Once the planet is sufficiently nuked you may then transfer your own army to kill off the surviving rebels and enslave the local populous. Once under your teams control planets will provide you with technology and resources such as a new army which you can use to further your expansion. Eventually as you take all planets in the galaxy your enemy is defeated from the galaxy/map.

When will the paint arrive?

With each kill/win/successful action you will gain credit that is recorded to your character. This credit is required to pilot more advanced space-craft. For example you may start a game piloting an assault craft, by killing an enemy scout and transferring an army to an enemy planet you may then have enough credit to control a destroyer. So on....

There are four different alien races to play, each race has unique space-craft and alike hull classes. For example all races will have a frigate class, cruiser class, battleship class etc. Currently there are 10 different hull classes, so a total of 40 ships to pilot!

StarWarp is a fast paced game where you are never more than moments away from a battle. Teams who communicate well to defend and attack in unison will have a big advantage. We see the potential to have leagues of well practiced teams as well as games for the casual player.
